Description
The simple personal changes during a round of 25 in Change reorient my entire life. Entering into solidarity with those marginalized by the food system—those who are hungry, obese, or nutrient deficient—rocks my world. These 25 days of Advocacy force me to see the parts of the global food system that are broken by my participation in it. The food system allows billions of us to make poor food choice whose consequences are swept underneath the rug. For me, 25 in Change is about climbing underneath that rug and staying there for 25 days in order to prevent myself from sweeping stuff back under there in the future. Ghandi once said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in service to others.” I’m looking forward to seeing what I find under the rug this next round.
