Josh Messer

[singlepic id=11 w=320 h=240 mode=web20 float=left] Brian McLaren’s quote had been bothering me for awhile: “The secret message of Jesus is meant not just to be heard or read but to be seen in human lives, in radically inclusive reconciling communities, written not on pages in a book but in the lives and hearts of friends…”   I had glimpses of what it meant, and then when I heard about 25 in Change, I realized this was the Big Thing and I was all in.

  1. go josh!! 🙂
i am sure it isn’t easy to spend these 25 days fasting in a mindful and positive way (i know i’d be cranky as hell), but i could tell when we talked in clinic that you are really into this, and i really admire you for your dedication! it is indisputably unacceptable that any child should suffer!! and hunger is one of the worst ways to suffer; most definitely in the context of an obesity epidemic, too. it is my personal conviction that the best way to uplift our own lives is to dedicate ourselves to uplifting the lives of others; loving your neighbor as yourself as it were. and you are so humble about it, but i know it is what makes you just shine. i wish you a fulfilling and enlightening journey!
    best,
